EDGA members vote yes to proposed transition

EDGA members have voted yes to the proposed transition, giving the organisation a clear mandate to move into the next formal stage of its development.

The member vote asked eligible members to confirm support for the proposed move from the existing British Disc Golf Association structure to the English Disc Golf Association, including the adoption of the new Articles of Association.

The result means EDGA can now proceed with the formal administrative steps needed to complete the transition.

What happens next

Over the next month or so, the main work will be administrative. This includes registering EDGA as a limited company and setting up the new bank account.

These steps are needed to give EDGA the right structure to support disc golf in England, improve governance, and provide a clearer foundation for future work with members, clubs, events and partner organisations.

What changes for members

Nothing changes immediately for members, players, clubs or event organisers.

Memberships, events, communications and day-to-day EDGA activity will continue as normal while the formal setup work is completed.

The EDGA team will manage the transition carefully and keep members updated as each stage is confirmed.

Thank you to members

Thank you to every eligible member who took the time to vote and have their say.

This vote marks an important step in building a stronger, clearer and better supported structure for disc golf in England.
