The EDGA Club Directory is intended to help players, councils, landowners and community partners find organised disc golf activity in England. The directory will show where clubs are active, how people can contact them and which courses or local playing areas they are connected to.
The directory is being developed alongside EDGA’s wider club support work. A directory listing is not the same as EDGA affiliation, approval, accreditation or safeguarding assurance. Clubs remain responsible for their own activity, venues, volunteers, safeguarding, insurance, risk assessments, permissions and legal duties.
What the Club Directory aims to show
- Club name and local area.
- A short introduction to the club and what it offers.
- Public contact routes such as website, email or social media links.
- Usual course, park, venue or playing area.
- Links between clubs and the courses they use, support or maintain.
- Information about regular sessions, beginner activity, leagues or events where supplied by the club.
- Logos or photos where clubs have permission to share them.
How directory information is collected
EDGA uses information supplied by clubs to keep directory entries clear, consistent and practical. Clubs may be asked for details such as their main contact, public links, usual playing location, course relationship, session information, logo, photos and a short description of their activity.
The same information can support future mapping work, participation data and conversations with councils, landowners, funders and partners about where disc golf is active in England.
What a listing does and does not mean
A directory listing helps people find local disc golf activity. It means that a club or group has supplied useful public information for the directory.
A directory listing does not mean that EDGA manages, supervises, approves, accredits or guarantees the club’s activity. It also does not mean that EDGA has inspected the club, checked every session or verified that activity is safe for juniors.
Parents, carers, new players and partners should contact clubs directly to understand their sessions, safeguarding arrangements, insurance position, venue permissions and suitability for specific participants.
Club affiliation and directory status
EDGA is developing a light-touch club listing and affiliation process. In future, some clubs may be able to show an affiliation status once the process, requirements, wording and badge rules have been confirmed.
Until then, clubs should avoid claiming EDGA affiliation unless they have received formal confirmation from EDGA. More information is available on the Club Affiliation page.
Keeping directory entries useful
Club information changes over time. To keep the directory useful, clubs should review their public details regularly and contact EDGA when key information changes.
- Club name or public contact route.
- Website, email or social media links.
- Regular session times or meeting points.
- Course, park or venue relationship.
- Committee, organiser or welfare contact details.
- Photos, logos or public description.
