Welcome to Challenge At The Castle.

This event will be a 3-round, 2-day PDGA Sanctioned XC-Tier, part of the 2025 EDGA Tour.

Please note that EDGA membership is required to play at the event. You can purchase a season-long Full Premium membership for £20, reduced to £10 for women and free for juniors, allowing you to play all events.

If you just want to play this one event, you can buy a Full membership (£5, previously called "lite") allowing you to play just this event.

The event is held on the historic grounds of Ripley Castle in North Yorkshire.

Excellent accommodation is available in the spa town of Harrogate, just 3 miles away.

The course is accessible by public transport, taking the train to Harrogate and using the 36 bus should place you within walking distance of the event.

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford.

Entry costs £40, or £45 for Pros.

This entitles you to one player's pack disc (included) for all amateur participants.
Everyone will also have access to a hired room during tournament hours which will have a selection of drinks and snacks available included in the price of the tournament.

There will be bathroom facilities at Grindhaus cafe, available both between holes 9 and 18 (around 2-3 minutes extra walk) and before the start of your round(s).
There will also be a portaloo on the course.

There will be three layouts in-play at the event.
GOLD will be played by MA1, MPO and MP40 only and will involve a 80m water crossing on hole 18.

BLUE will be played by FPO, FP40, MA40, FA1 and MA2, and will be the same layout as Gold with a shortened pin on hole 18.

All other divisions will play the PURPLE layout from last year's British Open.

There will be some small modifications to the course, if you played British Open and would like to contribute to any layout changes, please email [email protected] before March 1st.

Please note, Early registration (1 week) and 3 wildcard places are available for Womens and Junior divisions.

No divisions will be condensed that have participants sign up.

Prizes: £7 /pp paid out to top 33% of am divisions. £15/pp paid out to top 40% of pro divisions
Other event costs £10/pp (portaloo hire, trophies, signage)

There is no fee taken by Ratatoskr Disc Golf Events.
